Community Emergency Response Team
After the earthquake, help is not coming for 72 hours.
Hands-on training that teaches Lamorinda residents to shut off the gas, put out the fire, triage the injured, and search the house next door, until the fire department can get there.
01 / LEARN
Take the 8 week course
Eight evening sessions plus a hands-on skills exercise. Ages 14 and up. A small registration fee applies.

Trained neighbors are the first responders on your street.
Lamorinda CERT is a volunteer program run in partnership with the Moraga-Orinda Fire District and Contra Costa County Fire. Members support first responders, give immediate help to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. In quiet times we run drills, staff safety fairs, and keep the neighborhood ready.
